Hi, I'm looking for the grey fuel tank mats that go under the fuel tanks. If anyone has one or two for sale please let me know, thanks.

When did they use grey?
Here are original mats for sale in the only color I have known.

Yep, mine are grey. 1972 Katama. Ideally I only need one grey one. I'm not sure why the gas (relief value closed, over flow) caused one to krinkle and deform since this rubber should not be affected. Anyone one have a grey one?

The 1974 catalog shows brownish colored mats.
Yes, the newer models from about 1996 changed to gray for some models.
I can't find any photos of the gray color in years earlier then 1974 in the catalogs.
I will be adding this info to the fuel tank mats once I find out a little more.
So far,
1962 to 1972 = Gray
1973/1974 to 1996 = Brownish
1996/1997 and later = either of the above depending on model

My 1968 Nauset came with gray mats, although I am the second owner so I don't know if they were original to the boat.

I assume it makes sense that the bronw mats first appeared when the RPS received the brown legs.
Then, when later post classic Whalers went back to white gelcoat, with black RPS legs, the mats went back to grey.

Isn't Grey the British/English spelling version?
