I recently purchased a 1974 Montauk to fix up and resell. It has aluminum Z legs. I am curious if that original.? Others I have seem are composite of some sort. Thanks, Kevin
Yes, the original incarnation of the Z-legs were cast aluminum. The screw holes are the same on all of them so you can use plastic or aluminum Z-legs on your boat. The fact yours are original is rather neat.
