I am rebuilding my cable pulley steering system and replacing the steering wheel at the same time. Existing was pretty stiff, and tired and the wheel was rusted.
I think someone previously replaced the steering wheel, as it was connected to the original Brass shaft, but totally rusted and fused in place.
I am looking for a detail of typical original steering wheel connection attachment.
I know it sounds simple, but I would like to see how the steering wheel is actually suppose to be connected to the brass steering shaft and with what materials. Suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
