How about it guys?
I bet there is a thousand or more whalers in Charleston SC.
Everytime I meet a owner they respond with never heard of it.
And bam they sign up.
Shirts would spread you guys out there quickly.
Hell, for the price of the laminates I would advertise the site on the back of the boat.

Here are a couple of photos of the T-Shirt design I have come up with.

The WhalerCentral.com logo on front of the T-Shirt.

On the back will be your choice of the Line Drawings from the Artwork section in the Downloads area.
http://www.whalercentral.com/download...p?cat_id=9

We need to make sure we have permission from Jeff and Dan Edge to use their Line Drawings.
Other than that, we have a choice to put www.whalercentral.com underneath the line drawings like are shown on the originals in the download section or, we could put something else entirely different on the back besides line drawings.
We are open for ideas for the back....
Less...?

The T-Shirts have NO Pockets.... Sorry for those of you who wanted pockets.
They will be available in 6 colors. White, Sport Gray, Ash, Natural, Sand, Light Blue.
Sizes from Kids Extra Small to Adult 5XL

The 5XL should fit some of you like a MuuMuu so for those of you looking for a MuuMuu, buy the 5XL..... Grin

I just looked through my collection of T-Shirts and found several that were made by Gildan.
These are some of my favorite T-Shirts so, Gildan is a good brand in my opinion.
If anyone here has other opinions on the Gildan T-Shirts, please let me know.

I'd suggest adding something under the line drawing that really captures the spirit of this website, something like "Great Boats, Excellent People, Solid Advice" or something along those lines?

Good idea...

Now you brainiacs need to start thinking and come up with something.
My brain doesn't work like that....
Once we get about 5 of the best slogans, we can put them on the poll on the main page for the final voting.

We cannot use any logos or sayings that belong to Boston Whaler themselves.
The saying needs to be original to www.whalercentral.com
It should be as short as possible and to the point. Not sure if 2 lines would work.

Joe,

I like the samples you posted and even though I have a Montauk I would buy a t-shirt with either a Montauk or an Outrage on the back. I'm not sure that I would label the boat on the back though; the line drawings say it all. But if people want the label you might consider centering the label either over or under the drawing.

For the front my suggestion would be the Whaler Central logo (Whaler Central part) with the sample below under the logo on the front left breast.

The Roadmap To "All Things Boston Whaler"
www.whalercentral.com

Just my 2 cents. I like the color you displayed.

Jack

I think a first rate illustrator is needed. Something MC Esher like where Montauks morph into whales would be insane. I don't want to wear a shirt that just has the name of the site -- even though I love the site.

Repeat the front logo larger on the back.

Keep the ideas coming.....

SpongeBob (Jeff)
We have already included a T-Shirt with that design just to let you know.... Thanks....
This way if people change models of Whalers, the shirt is still current...

So far, we have the 6 colors mentioned above.
Sizes from Kids XS to Mens 5XL.

We also have these choices so far for the back from the Line Drawings a Logo.
1. Outrage
2. Outrage Banana Ribbed
3. Montauk
4. Revenge
5. Revenge Cuddy
6. WhalerCentral

WhalerDan,
Morph us a photo like MC Escher does and we can put it on the back....
I still have a lot of his old prints... Outstanding....

Joe,

Just got back from a week in Laguna beach California. Feel out of the loop for sure.

I like the simple design. The one with the small logo on the front and the line drawing on the back. It definitely would get my vote.

Keep us up to date - I would like to order some for my son and myself.

Thanks!

I agree with Scott, simple logo on the front and the line drawing and web site on the back. I am ok with or without the model name. The range of sizes is nice, that way the whole family can get into the spirit.

Joe,
Shirt idea with the proposed logos looks fantastic! Slogan: "WhalerCentral; The Classic Whaler Owner's Roadmap!"

I'm with Scott and Kamie.

Small logo on the front with the line drawing on the back. Model name doesn't matter here either. Pretty much the way Joe has illustrated

Keep it simple.
I'll buy a few . . . even if I don't get my pocketSad
