Raising RPS for Moeller 26 Gallon - Where/What to buy
Question: I was reading the Previous Thread and saw that people have put 3" blocks under the Z legs to raise up the RPS. My question is on a 1984 Montauk, is the proper wood Mahogany or Teak? Once determined, where does one find ~ 15" Long 4"x3" stock of either Mahogany or Teak?
Also, I saw pictures but not a side profile...have people put Blocks the entire Footprint of the RPS, or just 4 separate blocks? Any pictures would be much appreciated.
I have read members using teak, Ipe and other exotics. Price may be a guiding force. Consider Mike at Nautical Lumber for the material and or the fabrication.

On my `1993 Montauk, I used Starboard (Sea Foam color) and cut it using the entire base as a template. Used 5200 to attach. Has been together for 10 years and still holding. Unless you look real hard, it is almost invisible from the oem base. If I were a real good wood worker with router experience it would have looked even better.
