I just received the October 2014 Power & Motor Yacht magazine with an article titled "The World's Top Boats, 90 designs that changed boating forever"
On page 107 the show Boston Whaler 13 1958-2000 Designed by Raymond Hunt/Dick Fisher with the blurb.
"What kid didn't dream of running around in a 13-foot Whaler? Who didn't need to call the chiropractor after a weekend on a 13-foot Whaler? This iconic ride is a must have for any boating nut's fleet and it is the model that launched Boston Whaler"
Underneath in the same column. Boston Whaler 16 Nauset 1961-1973 Designed by Raymond Hunt and with the following blurb.
"Arguably the first production center console design (along with perhaps the Chris-Craft Dory), the Naunset 16 became the Montauk 17. The 17 is still extremely popular today. And make no mistake, the 17 remains the SUV of small boats. When equipped with a 90-HP outboard she is eminently practical for diving, picnicking, fishing, gunk-holing, even, believe it or not, for camping. Was she rough riding? Yup, Wet? Sure. Good to see these two BWs on the 90 list of all times greats.

I think the boat design that made the biggest change in boating is Ray Hunt's Deep V design, made popular by Dick Bertram with his Deep V 31, and 25 footer.

In their list of the 50 best fishing boats of all time, mostly ranging from 25 ft. to 50 something flybridge and express cruisers, along with the Albemarle, Bertram and Rybovich, were 2 Whalers, the 13 Sport and 16'7" Nauset/Sakonnet that are, also, the 2 smallest boats on that list, made by die-hard saltwater fishermen.
