I am looking for parts to use on the 13 when I finish it, because it's too cold outside to accomplish anything. I have read the article on difference between the original bow light and at least one copy. The question is, are there any numbers on the original, any identifying marks that you could have someone take a photo of, or read a part number to prove it's the real deal?
Not really looking for a specific year, the 13 hull is 1972. More looking to see if there is an easy way to tell good from bad. Two current examples on ebay; auction #250202104792 or #230206621874. I assume both to be real and not poor copies, but from photo's it's hard to tell.
I purchased something like that on ebay about 3 years ago...it wasn't oem...but it looked nice...I ended up throwing it in when I sold my Newtauk...those don't look the same as the one I purchased...when I held it in my hand once I got it home, I could tell it wasn't the real mccoy...I have a feeling those are OEM...but don't quote me on that! LOL
