Whalers,
I'm currently rebuilding my
1974 Outrage 19, and am getting stymied trying to find a replacement windshield. All internet searches lead to Specialty Marine, but their replacement options won't fit a 1974 console. Inside dimensions needed are 29 1/4 x 15 1/4. See attached photos.
Thanks in advance for any help.
-Dave
(Please follow guideline #1 at the top of this page and use the FULL 4 digit year.)

The leading replacement vendor is UDP but their lead time before Covid was 2 months.
www.updplastics.com
If you have one it you can get a local vendor to replicate or DIY. There are videos on Youtube on how to make the cuts, bends.

How far off are the Specialty windscreens? Are your dimensions measured from your windscreen or the console? The winged console is the same on a Montauk as the Banana Outrage.

Specialty Marine windscreens measure (inside measurements) 30' x 12' v. the 29 1/4 x 15 I need for my outrage banana 19. Wish I could get pictures to post to this thread, but they keep getting rejected from my Mac....
Phil's recommendation of UPD plastics seems to be the solution. Just ordered one that will fit, reasonable price, but may have to wait a few months, no problem though, I've got a lot of work to do on it.

The console that Specialty Marine is showing here is the console from a 1977 to 1982 Outrage or Montauk.
https://www.specialtymarine.com/colle...ield-clear
That console is entirely different from the 1973 to 1976 winged console that you have and what we show in our Article section.
https://www.whalercentral.com/article...icle_id=58
Do not forget the "Well Nuts" that go between the console and the windshield on both sides as they add to the overall inside dimension of the windshield.
https://www.whalercentral.com/photoga...oto_id=116
I have no idea what the inside windshield dimension is on the 1973-1976 console that you show the photos and it is hard to tell with just the tape.
Maybe someone with that console can take a measurement or you can tell us more. 29 1/4" outside Well Nut to outside Well Nut?
If everyone agrees it should be 29 1/4" inside dimension for that console we can add that to our part description.
Also the sides, as because of the wings, it is probably longer than the 1977-1982 console as you mention but do not have the original windshield to measure?

The windshield for the 1977-1990 appears to be 30" inside dimension (ID) and 12" long sides from our Article by Jeff. (Thanks Jeff)
https://www.whalercentral.com/article...cle_id=107
That 30" ID corresponds to Specialty Marine dimensions.
Those above consoles again are different from the 1973-1976 winged console which you have.

I have a 1975 Outrage 19 and have purchased from UPD before for my Outrage 25. Their product was a perfect replacement for the original.
In the link below, for the console in the 1974 Outrage 19, you want the 2nd windshield down in the link below. It will be an identical fit for the original. Note the notched bottom configuration unique to this windshield so water can drain
. You want light bronze color. You will have to drill the holes for the wellnut fasteners.
https://www.updplastics.com/windshiel...ndshields/
My 19 has the original windshield from the factory, and you can see photos in the personal Website link. Slideshow is the best mode to view.
NOTE: they also show the 3rd windshield down as fitting your boat. I don't know where this came from, but it is slightly larger, and larger than the original. Otherwise, it should also fit. Check your dimensions first, and decide which one you want. As I said, I think the 2nd one is the original size.

Thanks.
1973-1976 winged console windshield
29 1/4 " L x 15 1/4" W x 14" H (Inside Dimensions)
1977-1990 console windshield
30 1/4" L x 11 3/4" W x 13 3/4" H (Inside Dimensions)
Also see the notches on the 1973-1976 windshield at the base.
NOTE:
There seems to be a discrepancy from the Montauk and the Outrage console from 1973-1976
How can that be if the consoles are the same?
Here is the Montauk dimensions for 1973-1976
https://www.updplastics.com/windshiel...ndshields/
Here is the Outrage dimensions for the same console 1973-1976
https://www.updplastics.com/windshiel...ndshields/
Am I missing something or are there way too many mis-measured windshields?
Attached below is the 1977-1982 Boston Whaler console that is used on the Montauk 17', Outrage 19' and Outrage 21' during those years.
All the same models using one console and the same windshield.
I am assuming the 1973-1976 winged console/windshield would be the same for the Montauk, Outrage 19 and Outrage 21' during these years.

Joe, I have 3 winged consoles and the lengths are the same for all of them, slightly less than 29 1/4" inside windshield measure, outside of wellnuts. The width and height are different on each one. The 1973 Montauk & 1974 Outrage are closer to the 15" wide x 14" high size, the 1975 Montauk is closer to 14" wide x 12" high. I'm guessing the only critical measurement is the 29 1/4".

MG, thanks for the info.
Must be a difference in the OEM Suppliers?
Taylor Made was one and another was Eagan-DeYoung that we know of as those suppliers had their name on the windshield in the later 1977-1990 console.
https://www.whalercentral.com/photoga...oto_id=115
BW must also have had tight tolerances to keep those consoles at 29 1/4" Wide keeping in mind
those Well-Nuts.
Otherwise windshields would not fit very well.
