Unlike the Sport models, the Super Sport models feature a wraparound rail which, barring modification, will prevent installation of a bow mounted electric trolling motor. To address this limitation, the center athwartship section of the Super Sport rail was removed with the aid of a stainless steel tubing cutter. The removed rail section was cut to size and then stainless steel bimini fittings were installed on the tubing to permit the center athwartship rail section to be rotated out of the way when using the bow mounted electric trolling motor. The bimini fittings were pin welded to the rail tubing and the forward two stanchions were welded to their bases to make the connections permanent and to stiffen the rail system. This rail modification has the added benefit of making it easier to board the boat from the bow when beached.
