About five years ago I bought a big white igloo cooler from Costco and now I'm trying to match up a Whaler cushion to it but I'm confused as to what size I have. It doesn't say on the cooler and the measurements I took, 40x18.5x20, don't seem to match up with anything on the igloo websight. To big for the 94, 34.75x16.75x17.63, and too small for the 128.

Maybe you're supposed to measure the inside??

Sounds like maybe a special Costco size.

Harry,

I have a couple of those coolers from Costco.
Yes, I believe they are special for Costco as Igloo does not show that size on any of their cooler for sale on their website.

These coolers are very close to the 128 cooler size but not quite as you found out.

If you want to use that cooler, than I would order a cushion from Lois at Hall's Nautical.
http://www.hallsnautical.com/index.htm/index.htm

I would tell Lois that you want a cushion 39 inches x 16 inches....
That is the measurement I came up with when measuring the smallest part of the cooler lid where the cushion would sit. Measure it yourself and see what you come up with.

Just another point. If you are going to do this, what are the chances of getting another cooler of this size should this cooler happen to get destroyed? I have no idea if Costco still carries this size so that is why I am mentioning this. You might consider a standard 94 qt or 128 qt Marine Igloo cooler and then you have something that is more the standard of the line and easily replaced at a later time.

Just a thought.........

Harry I bought large cooler from there as well a couple years ago and it is a size they do not make any more. It was a 170something quart. West Marine has never carried a cushion for them.

Like Joe said, just give Halls a call with the dimensions you are looking for.
