A few days ago, I noticed a small hydrolic fluid leak on the floor of my garage. I checked my motor and it went down and back up and now it wont go back down. It sounds roughly the same but there's no movement. Its 25 years old. Is this just some sort of seal problem that can be repaired? How big of a check am I looking at to replace the whole thing. This doesn't help my stand that I'm not going to repower until its really necessary! I'm looking for an excuse for a new 150!

Sounds like a seal. Clean it up and see where the leak is.

What color is this "Hydraulic" fluid?

You may be low on fluid in your power trim & tilt reservoir.
Check your engine manual for the proper fluid and level.

On an Evinrude 115 had on a 17' center console boat I owned in the past, I experienced the same thing. Like Joe mentioned above, I added fluid and it worked like a champ.
