My existing dash is riddled with holes and I have already covered it over once with a piece of teak. I am upgrading my electrical pannels so instead of another piece of wood I was thinking aluminum or plastic. Wondering if anyone is aware of or used a company to fabricate a custom dash. I have found quite a few online, but wondering if anyone has a referal.

I replaced my helm last year. The boat shop just used a black piece of Starboard with a rounded edge that you can mount anything to. Should be something your local shop could fabricate easily.

I replaced my instrument panel last year on my 22' outrage and fabricated it myself out of aluminum. Since it was all circle cuts, it seemed easy but was more difficult due to spacing out correctly and also the aligning the mounting holes. I then took it to a local powder coating company and had it finished. It came out good and I am pleased with results, but I am going a different direction with my switch panel.

I am working on my switch panel with an online cad program from Front Panel Express

You design and they will cut out your design with CNC in aluminum. I plan on taking this panel to the same powder coating guy so that everything matches up.

Based on initial estimates from this company, the total cost should be about the same: $60.

Are you referring to the top of the dash? Fiberglass?
Or the panels in the front of the dash?
