I emailed Tom a heads up.
A few factual error's in the sellers ad. In addition to the photo of Tom being an Outrage 18 while the seller's is a 17, the seller has an aftermarket windshield and fuel tank. So much for all original.

Something doesn't look quite right in that add. Not sure why, but it smells of scam. Got a feeling he will ask for some kind of deposit to hold it for a sea trial.

Actually, the boat looks pretty good to me, one of the desirable 1986-early 1990s models.
The console grab rail is replaced by something custom, presumably to accommodate the custom bench seat in front of the console, the console gauge panels are not my style and the bow rail is missing (which is how I prefer the Montauk).
But other than that, it looks like an original and clean boat. It does have bottom paint so it may look different in person. Still, for $5,000 could be a hell of a deal if the motor runs well.
The photo of my Outrage 18 has become iconic. He doesn't actually say that's it's his boat or even a Montauk but still, it is not polite to use somebody else's photo without asking. Bad karma.
If I had a dollar for every time somebody swiped that photo, I'd be able to top off my oil reservoir!

Ahhhhh, the price of fame Tom. That was some nice air, must have been some landing though.
