I bought a 2005 220 Dauntless. Amazing boat. I remebered commenting when I bouhgt it that the only thing I would change was the center console configuration. The salesman assured me that 2006 would offer no improvements. What a lie that turned out to be. THe 2006 model 220 Dauntless has an amazing new layout for the center console. It now enables all flushmount of electronics vice the top mount that I have to live with.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way I should go about upgrading my center console? I really like the want the new layout. Any guess as to the costs?

sandklev,
Welcome to Whaler Central.
The standard consoles back in the the 80's cost $2000.......
I would at least double that figure and then probably some.
The best way would be to contact a Boston Whaler dealer. I'm sure they can give you a quote.
Sometimes it is better to sell the boat you have and upgrade to the newer model. You might ask the salesman you bought it from and tell him your story and complain to him. He might take your boat in on trade without losing too much if he learns of his mistake and how he mislead you....
