Well I'm almost done with my "restoration" & was wondering if i should get a bildge pump or I have heard some pull the plug when not in the boat. What is some 1st hand experiance ? Thanks ! Here are some recent pics.

Nice looking whaler. I used to leave mine at the dock without the plug and there would only be 2" in the back near the bulkhead. My 25 tohatsu weighs 102 lbs. and no battery. I would take the fuel tank with me. Your engine weighs about 115 and you have a battery. Your boat should sit just a little bit deeper in the water, but I would not leave the tank or any other heavy items in the boat. A small pump would be good to have in the boat anyway but launch it and see what level the water rises to. Good luck,Tom from Ma.

Very nice looking 13'!!! Just leave the plug out, remove the fuel tank and any extra weight.

I moore my sport 15' all season, I use a Rule 500 gph bilge pump with a float switch hooked up to an "in-line fuse" directly connected to the battery (no console switch), making it "fully automatic".
