Jeff,
Thanks for sharing. Absolutely beautiful. When I was in San Fransisco several years ago, a company was building Chris Craft look-a-likes that were also very easy on the eyes. Very expensive though.

those are truly beautiful boats. I get wooden boat magazine and there are Van Dam boats in there from time to dime. I worked for a yacht restoration company for a few years during high school and it was some of the most fun I have ever had helping make those old chris crafts and centuries come back together.

Hello all, glad to see you've taken an interest in a real boat...
Kidding, only kidding. I've worked for VanDam Custom Boats for nearly four years now. The boat in the pictures is called "Alpha Z", was launched in 1998, is 33 ft. long, and is powered by a custom naturally aspirated 850 hp custom motor through an arneson surface drive. She'll just hit 100mph. The finish is a longer process than i've got time to get into right now, but please do check out the website, www.vandamwoodcraft.com. In my own defence, I was actually looking for ideas for a major overhaul on my 67 nauset, and was pleasantly surprised to see the VanDam reference--I'm here for recreational purposes, not as a shill, though I'm happy to answer any questions. Rock on!
