Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Whaler or copycat?

I recently was able to get a 13' that has the faded name of "The Catcher" on it and has also written on it "Blue Water Performance." It looks similar, but not exactly like the older Whalers in the 13' class.

I was told by one person that it is a garbage copycat and not worth the effort of minor repairs.

Is there anybody that can confirm or deny this? Is it a Whaler?

Any input is appreciated.

WOMMS, thanks for trying to help me out with the ID of my boat. I guess I am too backcountry to figure out how to download photos. If it is not too much trouble, I would like to email you a photo or two.

what year is the boat?
Bluewater is a boat builder, although it looks like they only made a 12 foot for a couple years in the early 80's. boat has an LOA of 12 feet with a beam of 6'3"
