Wondering what is the correct hardware. I bought a used rail & hardwear that I believe is all there. Looks like the front middle screws in right above the norman pin, no problem. The next mounting points aft are self explainatory mounts with a through hull backing plate just below the rubrail. The next are standoff stanchions that also have thruhull backing plates that mount below the rubrail, leaving the bases "open" to scratch the gel coat. I looked at ones from Specialty Marine & there are no thruhulls ? What would be the correct way to instal this rail ? Thanks again !!!

I would look through some of the member personal pages. Maybe you will see an installation close to what your trying to accomplish.

Are you saying the posts will slip down through the fittings and rest on the gel coat? If so, can you use a set screw to hold them at the right height?

Or am I not understanding your question?
