I noticed that the classic bow light/chock is secured with bolts on the bottom. How are these bolts secured to the hull... by anchoring them from above, or by drilling holes through the hull?
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks. I did see that, that is why I asked the question. There isn't space between the top and the underside of the hull so I was wondering do I drill from the top, stop short of the bottom and anchor the ballard bolts and screw the ballards onto the bolts from the top, or do I drill all the way though the hull to insert the bolts from the bottom. But at closer look, the square base on the ballards looks like I'd have to go with drilling through the hull and tightening the bolts from the underside of the hull.
Thanks,
Dave

Anybody know the size of these bolts? I had one fall out somehow (???) but still have the top piece, which I found in the sump area.
Any help would be appreciated so I can stop by the hardware store on the way to the boat. Thanks

Barry,
Don't you already have the 2 holes through the bow lip for your light with bow chock?
Or did your model just come with the light and no bow chock?
There are photos of 1975 Montauks in the personal page section that came with or without the bow chock.
Here is one without:

If you still have one, take it out and with you to the hardware store.
