I found this listing on craigslist. People who don't like Mahogany may like this:

Saw the same post on Continuous Wave/Boston Whaler. Is this an advertising campaign of some sort. Years ago Whaler provided a similar fiberglass drop in kit that wasn`t very popular.

Just saw the add on craigslist. Some people don't like to maintain wood and thought they might want to know about it. If you don't want it, don't buy it.

I think those interiors are a good alternative to people that don't want wood and leave their boats out on a mooring, etc....

Basically the same interior as the Sport GLS models.
Here is a Sport 15' GLS

I agree with you Joe. Not original but It's BW on the water, may not be restored but it's alive.

Not everyone wants a factory original restored 13, Some people prefer to customise their boat to be more practical for what they use it for.

In my opinion, Old 13 whalers with there original wood interiors are not very practical for fishing and better suited for a dinghy or hauling people around. Why would you need seating for 6 when you never have more than 2 or 3, wasted space in a very small boat.

I love how the original boats look with the mahogany, (I am a carpenter) but there is a reason boats don't use wood in weathered locations much anymore..

That said, the interior in the ad looks to be a copy. Probably from a mold made from the original sport gls package and I agree, It is ugly. It seems that it would add unnecessary weight.

The insert being offered for sale does appear to be made from the mold of, or splashed from, the 1992-1993 Sport GLS 13.

The 1994-2000 Sport GLS 13 used a redesigned insert mold and was completely different.

The back rest shown is not an original Whaler design.

I am not sure what he used to make the mold for them, but I have seen them and they don't look bad. I prefer wood too, but wood is a lot of work. He has also popped a mold of the 77-82 center console from a montauk.
