I will be in the Islands from December 1st through the 11th.
I would like to meet any of you that live in Oahu or Maui as those are the two islands my wife and I are visiting this time. Or, anyone else that happens to be in Hawaii during this time frame.
We are staying on Oahu for 5 days and then Maui for 5 days.
I know one member here lives on the big island Hawaii and it is unfortunate that we won't be visiting this island on this trip.
Please send me an email or a PM and maybe we can get together for a chat, lunch, or whatever.
I will be taking my brand new Macbook (Intel Core 2 Duo) with me so I can keep in touch.
Aloha.........

I was there 40 years ago and enjoyed it but this will be the first time for my wife...

Joe,
If you haven't been there in 40 years you won't beleive the difference. I lived there in the late 60's and went back in 72. Couldn't blelive the difference in those few year. Its still a good trip!! Have fun.

Thanks everyone,
My wife and I are getting excited about the trip now as we are starting to pack.
I'll put some short Quicktime movies together when I get home something like I did with our last trip the the San Juan Islands in the state of Washington.

My wife and I are back from the Hawaiian Islands.
We had a great time traveling around Oahu and Maui and watching the big surf. Unfortunately we were right in between the big surf so we missed the surf contest by a couple of days. Oh well, it happens.... Otherwise, we saw quite a bit of the two Islands.
The air temp was around 80º or so and the water temp was in the 70º range. When we left home, it was 20º and we had an inch of snow on the ground. What a difference....
Sorry we couldn't get together with some of you that live on the islands. Maybe next time.
I put together a streaming video of our trip. Check it out in the link below.

Joe, did you catch any waves? Loved the streaming video, it looks alot like home. I think that my baby brother's honey moon (he is living know in Florida) is going to be there (Maui) this next january.
Saw your surfing photo in your site. Clasical! I used to surf when I was in high school and college, surfed Hurricane Hugo in 89 back in collage years in Florida... Loved it, although it scared me to death. I remember that Todd Holand and Kelly Slater where also out there the same day as me. That was the time and the place for me then. Wow, time flies huh?
Thank you for sharing your Hawaiian vacation. It looks that you really enjoyed it.
Two thumbs up!
