I am in the process of rewiring my 1986 Revenge WT. I am considering a Xantrex Link 20 Dual Bank Battery Monitor (http://www.xantrex.com/web/id/97/p/1/pt/5/product.asp) and wanted to find out if anyone has any experience with this device or others.
I also will be installing radar, as I run the boat offshore in Southeast Alaska and wanted to inquire about what your favorite radar might be.
Thanks for all your comments and help and Happy New Year!

My main concern would be if its marine rated. How well will it hold up to a marine environment?
Has neat features but a simple dual bank volt meter has always served me well and reliably. I tend to shy away from anything that adds complexity to my vessels unless I just cant accomidate a requirement any other way.
I do have a similiar electronic battery monitor in my travel trailer but only because we often dry camp and I must manage energy storage, usuage, and the solar charging system. I refuse to use a generator.

dual bank batteries with a constable switch and your meter should work well, good to keep it simple with plenty of wire hangers and zip ties.
