I just spoke with Traci at Whaler today and all the legal is signed off on...we are good to go to print. Thanks Traci for all your help!

First off thanks to all that submitted photos. Again this year it was a difficult selection process but, I involved a number of people to help give suggestions. After going over my list and consulting with overs these are the images that was at the top of the list.

Here are all the submitted images:

Hands down the one image that repeatably was noted as "breathtaking" made the cover. The image was submitted by Steve Marinak (floridaskater). The boat is actually his Wife Melissa's and it is a great source of pride for their Family. For good reason. Infact my wife saw the image and said "Be still my beating heart. That is your next project boat, I would love a Sakonnet like that." Thanks Steve! Any way for winning the cover I am more than happy do a hand rendering for you of your vessel or, if you like anything in my shop such as a shirt or what not I would be glad to get that for you.

Here is the cover..

Nice camera Matt. I shoot with a D80 and a 17-135 Nikkor DX non-VR lens. I have been able to get some great shots out of it.

And from this great and numerous membership;
I would hope that the guys that can afford it;
Will pick up at least one calendar.
It is only right to invest in a non profit effort like this one.
And to show that we care about something..
I will expect that the numbers bought will far exceed the ones shown in the year past.
Why may you ask?
Well very simply because
I do care.
My two calendars have been ordered.
Thanks to the Kid for another Smart effort on behalf of our Passions and Pleasures, the Boston Whalers boats;
The Rendez -Vous and gatherings and the Fun Spirit that brings us all together.
And this from all our different venues and walks of life.

Very Nice...sure makes you want to get out and do some Whalin'!

I have a question; what is the model shown in pics #8 and #9 (and some others pics also) in the first (comprehensive) link above?

There is a one up the street from me and I am curious..

Tx, Bill

Bill,

Images 8 and 9 from the overall picasa page are of my own 1976 Newport with a 1974 Evinrude 85 Starflite. I just shot those images in July of this year on Crystal Lake (Frankfort area) in Northern Michigan. I just added those photos to the group though I doubt I would ever include one of my own photos in the group of 12 finalists.

Here is a link to more images of that boat.
