Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: What year is my 15' Whaler?

Can anyone help me figure out what year my 15' Whaler is? Just got this boat from a friend and he's having trouble locating the title. I think I can transfer his ownership to me with simply a notorized bill of sale, but would like to try to make the application for a new title as correct as possible. The Stenciled Hull Number is 5A2346. I've looked here on the site and at CW but can't seem to find any info on how to decipher these numbers for the 15. Any help.....?

The 15's started in 1976 so you should have a metal HIN plate on the rear of the transom.

Without the plate, you would have to send Boston Whaler an email along with your stencil number. Chuck Bennett would then be able to give you the HIN number.
