Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Nissan 70 HP 2 Stroke on a Nauset

Blew the foot on my tired 70 Yamaha. I found low hour freshwater 70 HP Nissan. Any thoughts on this motor on my 1971 Nauset?

Sounds like a good match to me especially if you were happy wth the performance of the Yamaha at the same Hp. I would assume that you will need to rewire and change the engine controls also so figure that in to your project too. I have never heard anything bad about the Nissan motors.

If it is a TLDI you will be amazed at how great it performs.
