I know there are several of you out there swinging 17" pitch stilettos on Montauks/Nausetts with 90 hp etecs. Are you happy with your performance? I have tried a 15 pitch stiletto and a 17 pitch OMC SST (because of availability) on my 1964 nausett with a 90 ETEC. From the data i have seen (both personally and on the message boards) the 17 stiletto seems like the logical move. i believe over at CW someone mentioned hitting 5700 RPM with a 15 pitch stiletto and 5200 with a 19 pitch stiletto. This would imply 5450 rpm at WOT with a 17 pitch stiletto. i saw 43 mph @ 5700 rpm with the stiletto 15 and 41 mph @ 5700 with the omc sst, so my data seems in line with everyone else's. In my test the 15 stiletto performed much better than the 17 SST. Bettter holeshot, better top end, better midrange acceleration, and generally dug in better during hard turns and acceleration. Just wanted to check with others before I pony up the $$$ for a new prop. Thanks in advance for any help.

For the 2007 90HP the range is 4500-5500 with optimal range being 5000-5200. I can't find the chart for the 2005.
If your hitting 5700 with the 15p Stiletto, then going to the 17p should drop you down to 5300 and close to the correct range for the engine.

Pretty sure the operating range is the same for the 2005, so like you said i think the 17 will put me in the sweet spot.
