Hey people. Lets see more movies!! Photos are great and all that (coming from a still photographer) but movies rock!

Here's a link to an iPhone 3GS movie from Sunday's beautiful day - heading the last of the day from Alexandria Virginia to WDC - yes, the wife finally skippered so I could work some more.

Clip may need a little download / lead time. It's pretty short.

This is the 2001 Dauntless with the recent E-TEC repower - (don't all groan at once - yea, I know I went on about it a bit during the Summer as a landlubber)

Hope this link works.

More beautiful days ahead..

Mark -

Great video. Looks like you had the water to yourselves.

Who's life vest is on the cooler seat? Remember, you and your wife should have a vest on!

Thanks for sharing.

The wife likes to use the spare as a back rest that's what that is and the flag is in honor of my Welsh Mum.

A vest really keeps you warm too.

Pretty cool video, you left me wanting more as that was a great song to play while watching a little Whaler action.

WE WANT MORE!!

Mark,
Great video. What type of recorder did you use?

How did you convince your wife to take the wheel? I've tried to convince my wife to take the helm... she is hesitant because there is no line down the water and is worried someone will run into her... Still for safety purposes she needs to take a boating course in case something were to happen to me...

I was going to comment on the flag. Was curious where you were hiding "Old Glory". That's nice that you fly that flag for your mum.

Norm,

As the French say - très amusant! That made me larf! I volunteer to drag a dye pack "road marker" for you.

I think my gal is "high" on the bag of Saltwater Taffy in front of her which makes her putty in my swarthy deck hands.

It's shot... if you can say that with an Apple iPhone and a few quick transitions with iMovie - one stop output any size and in this case to Apple's "mobile me" (stupid name) which is built pretty much into every multimedia device they make and makes sharing a whiz (did I say whiz?). Gotta love the Apple - worship the Apple.
You can also output straight to Apple TV and have this on your 42" (example) flat panel in the family room in minutes. So darn cool!

Unfortunately, I'll be taking the boating course again for her whilst she knits and takes credit and flashes the glossy card.

Gawd I luv 'er!

Mark,

The Apple computer and the applications are amazing.

All of of my Quicktime movies, Podcasts, iMovies, iPhoto, iTunes, etc, are done using Apple computers and Apple Apps.

Here is a shot of my 46" Sony Bravia XBR4 TV playing songs from iTunes using Front Row on the Mac....

Its important that your mate learn to run the launch, dock, and run the boat, and use the VHF as well as you do. What could be worse than if you were incapacitated and she had no idea what to do, except sit there helpless. My ex could do everything, including catch more fish, and now I`m teaching my girl friend, who is eager to learn.
