I'm a first-time whaler owner (and a first-time boat owner, for that matter :).
I just purchased a pre-1970 classic 13' whaler w/the standard flat-bench seats. I just know that I'm going to be miserable bouncing across the Great South Bay on those flat benches, so I'm in the market for comfortable seats. I've seen that I can add a wooden flat back to the bench, but I'm looking for 'seats'. I would love to find something like this:

I've been looking for something like this but I can't find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance...
Melanie

Hello Melanie,
Unfortunately I cannot see the images you posted. Maybe other members can but I get a terrible, unfriendly message.
They don't seem to be very user friendly nor does the site seem to want to share any of their members photos.
It appears those photos have been taken hostage by the site...

Those seats don`t fit the style of the boat and look tacky. Get a wooden seatback made and some custom cushions to fit the seat and seat back.

If you're looking for comfy seats that look good on your bench seats, check out Nautical Marines seat cushions. They are a site sponsor and have a link to their website on this website. I purchased two bench seat cushions and a bow cushion for my 13' about three years ago and they have held up well. Take a look at my personal page if you want to see what they look like on a 13'.

Melanie,
those are just padded helm seats, not specifically Boston Whaler, in fact the boat is not a Boston Whaler but a Dell Quay. Both Moeller and Todd make a range of helm seats. Whatever you do, mount them on the wood seats and not directly to the deck. There is no wood where the seats mount and you will tear the gelcoat from the stress, and allow water into the hull.

There is no reason to download photo's from another site, to upload them here, especially since those photo's are copyright and I assume you did not contact the original artist for permission?

Kamie you are sharp. I didn`t notice at first, but the radius corners in the stern is a giveaway. I wonder why the Boston Whaler decal. How can you change a title to read another make boat?
