Are there any tips for the replacement of the rub rail? The rivet removal; and the bending of the material at the bow are my concerns.

I just drilled out the rivets, flared the holes with a countersink and filled with a glass filler. Putting it back on was interesting. Try to do it on a hot day, go slow, use multiple people. I saw some pics on this site that show using big plastic clamps. I wish I would have seen that before I did mine. As far as the bend around the bow, again go slow and put your fasteners more frequent. Like 3" or 4" and it will hold very well. The preferred fastener seems to be rivets but I used #8 stainless screws with great success. I siliconed the threads before installing to avoid backing out. After doing it once I won't shy away from it again. That is why I chose the screws. Good luck
