Can anyone tell me about the braces/brackets behind the back of the front seat on an old 13 footer-possibly a sourpuss? I cannot find it on parts diagrams-maybe I missed it! Front seat and back of seat go completely across, dash goes all the way, steering right of center. Thanks for any help!

A Sourpuss should have the steering in the center.

See the Whaler Model Specifications section here:

Let us know if you have a different model.

I always liked the center steer 13 footers, although is is new to me that they were the "sourpuss" model. I thought that term referred to all the early Whalers with the original bow design, before the `70`s models with the slightly different spray deflecting bow, Of course, maybe I am wrong about this.
