Own a 1970 13' Sport - question is, Did they make a stainless steel steering wheel for this model? I hate the plastic one that is currently on the boat...takes away from it's looks...any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have direct cable steering or cable and pulley? You can use a 13" stainless destroyer type wheel on either type.

I used to have the Teleflex sport wheel with a stand off bracket on my 15'. It was "Very" responsive, I liked it a lot (it rusted through). I switched over to the "Destroyer" type wheel with a spinner knob, and the NFB steering sys.. It's less responsive but, safer as we now have "Little Hand's" grabbing for the wheel all the time.
