All,
I don't know how many of you folks have contacted Sue at Twin Cities Marine for help with Whaler parts and the like, but from my perspective, she is one of the most genuinely helpful and pleasant people I know. No matter the question or issue, she has the info and will suggest alternatives if an original part is no longer available from Whaler.
I have had numerous conversations with her regarding my restoration project, from small special sized fasteners to large, complex parts. Each time, she has been a gold mine of Whaler knowledge and experience. If our conversation gets too complicated regarding a part description, within seconds she sends a .pdf or other file with the original Whaler diagram to help clarify the issue.
Without her able assistance, I believe that many of us would have a much tougher time locating parts for our older Whalers.
In all, just a great lady and real asset to our total effort. Twin Cities Marine will continue to get my business based on the service received from her.
Twin Cities Marine prices are very competitive as well, lower than a local dealer in my region...by far.

Sue is the best! I have dealt with her several times and have been very impressed. This last time she gave me several other dealers to call to look for new old stock of a part. When I called them mentioning her by name they all raved about her too. That's truly a compliment in my book.

Cliff,
if you have only had the pleasure of dealing with Sue once, then you need to order more whaler parts. Your missing a lot.

LOL kamie....I guess you're right. Thing is......my boat is pretty much set and I really don't need anything. However when I move up to a 17' Montauk, I'll be whistling a different note.

Cliff,
you should get some practice now. I will send you my wish list and my shipping address although Sue already has it, and you can call Sue and order parts for me.

I had the pleasure of working with Sue while purchasing a rubrail for my 1988 classic 15. What an asset!
During my 15 refits I seem to have lost the threaded and knurled nut for my stern light. Would this be a ridiculous request for Sue@TwinCitiesMarine? Hate to buy a complete set for just the nut. Thanks. zot.

zotcha,
I wouldn't be surprised if she has odds and ends. Give her a call.
She even has original new and used parts that are so old that some of them may need re-chroming... I'm serious.... and she prices them accordingly...
Hey, when anyone calls her, tell them you saw this here at WhalerCentral as she one of our sponsors...

I've had the great fortune as well to have had nice conversation with Sue about just anything and order boat parts to. Sue is a wonderful and helpful friend to have. Times have gotten a little rough at Twin Cities Marine with the current economy she tells me, so let's give her our support and business Whaler fans...she's earned it.
