Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 11' Whaler aft locker drain question

Just bought a 1976 11 footer that needs a bunch of tlc. Just finished restoring a 13 footer so needed a new project! Anyways this boat has both a forward and aft storage locker that had mahogany lids at one time. The fwd locker drains into the cockpit as my 13 does. The aft locker has a drain hole in the bottom that I cannot figure for the life of me where it drains to. There is a drain plug in the aft area of the cockpit floor (drains out thru hull) that I though somehow this went into but cannot see it. I cannot imagine that BW would design a boat that has a drain that goes into the foam area between the hulls, but???????
Anyone with experience with this?? Thanks a bunch!

There are a few members with their 11 footers in the personal page section.
Here is one:

On my 77 it was connected to the aft cockpit drain. I don't know how the original was piped, but mine was damaged, foam wet. I ended up rebuilding the entire cockpit drain/ bailer area and sealing the aft locker hole. Wasn't a big deal to keep the aft locker dry. MartyD

Thanks Marty. I will do a bit more checking and probably seal it off myself. Right now it is clogged, so I can only assume the worst.
