I'm looking at purchasing a used Ventura 21 in the States and having it shipped to Phuket Thailand, where I now live. The boat will be used as a coastal runabout in/around "Phang-Nga-Bay" on the edge of the Andaman Sea (You might want to do a Google Earth search for that one)
Are there any Ventura 21 owners out there that could provide any info regarding the boat...ie Pros/Cons etc.
Having previously owned a "Passport 40" sailboat based in here in Phuket, this will be my first venture into powerboats. The Andaman Sea can get quite rough during the S.W. Monsoon each year (May-Oct) and I need a boat that can take the weather.
Unfortunately there are no Boston Whaler Ventura 21's here in S.E. Asia for me to look at, so whatever boat I purchase, it will be done sight unseen, except for video and photos.....and the word of the broker.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
