I found this product at Tap Plastics the other day and it seemed like it would be pretty good and durable as a bottom coat on my Whaler (I happen to like black).
Anyone ever try it? By the way my boat sits on a trailer and typical bottom paints get rubbed off each season.

I stay with "Interlux" Ablative bottom paints, I feel that they are "Superior" to anything out there, I know that I can depend on their "Anti-Fouling" properties.

Ablative coats are designed to wear off. Interlux does make an epoxy barrier coat to waterproof and stay on the boat. It is supposed to cure blisters in the gelcoat. You can then paint over it with ablative or a decorative coat of paint such as Perfection. The barrier coat is two part and only costs about $25.00 for a quart. I would steer away from anything promoted as as bedliner coat for trucks. I would think it would be too thick and cause drag. Do a search for "barrier coat" at JamestownDistributors.com.

I too would stick with a product from one of the two major marine coatings manufactures. If this product fails, or you simply hate it, removing it will be a major headache.
