I'm beginning my research to buy the right boat between now and next spring. Primary use will be exploring the Chesapeake Bay and rivers around Annapolis MD. Three to four people max with occassional use pulling tubes or a skier. Price is a concern. Looking at newer 150 Sport to 18' Ventura.
Can anyone tell me why the Rage Jet boats are so inexpensive? Will one work for what I have described?

They were a failure for BW. Prone to mechanical issues and poor performance.

I always wanted to find one with a blown motor and install an outboard on it. I think I would sell my 13 footer if I ever find one at the right price.
