I need to buy new tires for my trailer. I have a magic-tilt aluminum trailer with 13 inch tires on it. My boat is a 1999 Montauk. Has anyone had any experience with Duro tires?
Or can anyone let me know what they feel are good tires. Radial or bias ply? I am leaning to radials, maybe Goodyear Marathons. Thanks!

A lot depends on how far you will be trailering............How fast will you drive.........If you are just running a few miles from your house to the landing then it won't make a lot of difference...........If you are running long distance on the open highway then you want to get a better grade tire.......

+1 to those tires, trailer issues suck. I do all I can to avoid them. These help.

Stay away from Carlisle tires.

I put 3 brand new tires on my trailer several years ago.

I run Bridgestone 175-70-13 radials that I also had balanced. I carry the same for a spare. The load carrying capacity per tire is 1170 pounds (2) = 2340 pounds. I estimate I am running < half capacity. I check pressure every time I transport and have serviced the bearings as well. I also threw away the "bearing buddies" that were on the hubs.
