Any comments on the performances differencs between a 2003 Dauntless 18 & a 1999 Outrage 17? Both are powered by a 13hp Optimax.

13hp isn't enough on either boat...

You are right, a 13 hp engine on either boat would be down-right boring. I meant to type 135 hp.
Thanks for noticing my error.

You can always go back and "Edit" the original post.

For big water use, the bigger the boat the better.
I have never ridden in a Dauntless 18' so I can't really compare the 2 but if the price is close, I would go for the 18'...

Joe-

Do you know the deadrise figures for the two boats? How about a 1994 Outrage 19? A bit longer than the Dauntless, but 10" more narrow.

Thanks for any input.
