Hi,
I am considering buying a 1977 17 ft Newport. Overall, I would say it is is good condition, however, I had some reservations about some "depressions" noticeable on the hull. Are these common and, if not, do they suggest a weakening hull?
Here is a pic (or two) illustrating what I mean.
The top photo shows what I think is one of these depressions.

Its hard to say from the pic but when I see depressions in the hull, I'd move away as you can have a hull without depressions in the hull...simple as that.

So, are you saying depressions are in the eye of the beholder? :-)
