sorry to bring this up on here, but since i had thoughts of buying a whaler 2 weeks ago, and just bought it this week, ive been checking this site at least every hour for new stuff and searching for old stuff to learn as much as i can... i therefore now accept all of you as whaler 'brothers' of sorts - so i just have to ask....

does any one follow the worlds game = football = soccer... or at least have interest of following it? im more of a european follower myself.

is anyone else as excited as me for the beginning of the prem this saturday??

My passion for real football is equaled by my passion for Whalers and fishing.... I'm on vacation for another week, when I return home I will quickly shift into "coaching mode". There are eighteen 12 year olds who feel the same way as we do about the worlds game. Their passion is unbelievable, they have been running as a team all summer. Practicing once a week all summer. We finished our spring season 8-2. Have been moved up not one but two flights. This group has been together for a year now. 6 girls and 12 boys. We play in a boys flight and have amassed a record of 22 wins 3 losses and 3 draws.
They are the best group of children I have ever coached and the parents are outstanding as well.

I do what I call "Saturday morning Soccer" at my home a couple times a season. This is when all the kids come to my house early on Saturday morning to watch a live match from England . They are so impressed by how the fans all chant as one. The parents come as well. Everyone brings something and I cook up a big breakfast and the kids stay glued to the screen to watch the way the game is suppose to be played.

So I guess the answer is "YES"!!! There are other soccer nuts on this great site.

My two boys follow Manchester United, I follow any club in the Premiership that pays American lads to play this fabulous game. This only helps the USA's national team get better and better...

Cheers,

Norm

I just picked up my soccer roster last night for the two teams I am coaching this season.

Aside from that, I am a Whaler fanatic all the way!

Cliff,
I used to coach two teams at once as well... It just became to much to handle... Best of luck.

Now I concentrate on one team, going to see how far this great group of kids can go...

Modena,
The saving grace with the Premiereship is the games are on early enough that I can still get stuff done around the house. I'm very lucky in that my wife tolerates my passions...

yea the games are on early, but my problem is i want to watch them all.. so when there are three start times 7, 10, 12, im in for 6 hours!! having a dvr is great, but if the game isnt on tv i have to use the internet and therefore have to be inside...

once i see how often im on the boat during the long season i may get sirius, because they broadcast a couple games, and i could listen to them out on the water! and wsd on weekdays!

modena - youre a united fan and in new bern? halftimes has fsc. if theres a united game on fsc or espn im usually there!

Get a TIVO. I watch all of my shows now! But, when I am ready to watch. Leaves all daylight hours free! Best... is I can FF thru all commercials. I know live sports is best but think of it this way... Your "Football" is tape delayed at best anyway.
Get on The Water!
