I am replacing my old morse cables w/ Yamaha cables - the red sleeve is so faded i can not read what the length is - I am guesssing 16'. Any Outrages out there have an idea? Just want an idea so i can order before i pull the old ones.

Mine are 18 feet on my 1985 Outrage 18' but I have an Evinrude.
The cables for the Evinrude go into the engine on the starboard side. Not sure about the Yamaha but it shouldn't make much difference.

Thanks Joe - my cables enter the engine on the starboard side as well.

Just for the record, I use Teleflex cables.
I'm not sure how any other manufacturer measures the length of their cables.

Just put on the Yamaha Premier II 16ft. #08288 throttle & shift cables -- Amazingly smooth!! Highly recommended -
