1985 Yamaha 90hp

I'm attempting to replace the thermostat in my motor and have consulted Clymers and Seloc manuals but can't find the references match up to what I am seeing on my motor. Any ideas, thanks!

At the top of your cylinder head is a small cover, that's the thermastat housing. I believe there should be 4 bolts holding the cover on.

Good luck,

Norm is right it on the very top of the cylinder head. It may be triangular shaped though, cant what remember mine looks like. But they are basically the same year after year. Very easy to replace if the bolts are not frozen. attached is a link to the Yamaha forum (free, you will need sign up if you want to post) and a link to the parts diagram.
