Hi guys,

I have a approx 2000 40 hp Johnson 2 stroke and I'd like to start it out of the water.
Can I start this motor with a muff that only has water coming out of one side?

if you mean the water comes out of one side of the muffs, then yes.
it will work on all motors. Just ensure a good fit and turn the hose on fully.

Yes, the w/p is a single pick up from both sides.

My "Ear muffs" for my motor only has water coming in from one side and they provide more that enough water to the engine for cooling.
