What bolt configuration have you used or is best for mounting on a 15 sport???

I have a 70hp Evinrufe and it seeems the holles will not line up to the exhisting holes.
Has anyone used the tapped holes on the engine brackett???

Anyone got pics of the install????

We have an article on the Standard Bolt Pattern along with the "Blind Hole" location in our article section.

Lots of pics in personal pages. Look under the personal pages by length. Scroll down to the 15' models.

Thanks guys,,,,,,,

The boat is an 84 and the motor is an 89.

I'm painting the engine bracket now but should know more in a few days when we line things up.

Joe, did you ever get the photos you were requesting in the other thread??? I could snap a bunch now if you need them.

Just ran into this problem as well. My late 90's model Evenrude worked fine. However the new Suzuki did not. I have mounted with two bolts in the top for a slow test drive. I purchased a Jack plate that I mounted today so I do not have to use lag bolts(not that there is anything wrong with that). I had to do this with my Montauk as well.BG

Test hung the motor and everything lined up great!!!!

I re-tapped the blind hole and it worked perfectly. The tap basically cleaned out the blind hole.

Pics on my personal page, be in the water soon!!!
