Does this site delete, alter or change words on clean/on topic/legitimate posts? Just wondering before I invest to much time here. I just haven't posted enough yet on whalercentral to know. Thank You.

PS: This will be my worst post. I promise.

No, it is moderated.

Yes, the moderators of Whaler Central will delete or edit posts as they see fit and in accordance with the Whaler Central Code of Conduct. Typical reasons are elimination of spam and editing to make posts more intelligible and easy to read.

It seems there is a lot less of quite a few things here, you know who's heavy hand , and a lot less of the incessant bickering that goes on there. I to have begun coming here more and more but I still visit his site often.

I would fill free to post here. If it is a repetitive topic your question will still most likely receive an answer and not get deleted for lack of a search, most of the time you’ll be directed to the articles file or you may receive a hyper link to the formerly discussed issue. I believe I know what you are talking about as I had recently joined that site and was amazed at the bickering and deleted topics due to the repeating nature. I found it to be offensive as not everyone has the computer knowledge or would even know how to search for the material. Though I can imagine it gets frustrating with multiple repeat topics but after all we are taught that there are no dumb questions.
Sorry to rant but I had to vent after the day I have had.

All sites on the Internet are different.

Let's try and keep our comments and discussions here pertaining to our own site rather than what other sites might or might not be doing.

This site is great, you will find people treat you well, you don't have links to great information deleted just because its not a link to just this site.

NSW -

Welcome to WC.

I would suggest you build a personal page and post some photos so we can oogle and ahh over your boat. Don't forget to tell us the story of the boat and how she came into your life.

There are tutorials and how to's on creating the personal page. As other's have said, there are no dumb questions.

Thanks for all your responses. I can already tell this place is fair (my somewhat questionable post wasn't deleted). I am just glad this site exists. Otherwise I would have been forced to create my own Whaler site. Now, I promise to get more on topic.

This is the first and only Whaler site I've joined, never felt the need to look elsewhere. The lack of negativity along with great people and information really make this an outstanding site. I think you'll agree in no time.

There is a certain tact and genteel manner with which the Admin and his Moderators operate. See Joe's post above if you're not sure what I mean.

I would like to thank everyone who makes this site possible, it is one of the few gems in the pile of stones commonly referred to as the internet.

NSW, before I Joined this site, the only thing I knew about Whalers was they were safe boats. Through the help of all on this site I was able to identify problems and fix them. With the help of this site and it's outstanding members, I found my Outrage. You would be hard pressed to find a better site.

A great site, administraters are always helpful, as are many many of the members who spend a lot of their own time answering questions. Some areas have promoted Whaler Get-to- Gethers, like the one we just had down here in S Texas as well as looking for boats for perspective buyers.

Welcome Aboard!
