Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: TOP MOUNT CONTROL FOR A 15' SPORT

I WAS THINKING OF USING A MORSE S SINGLE HANDLE TOP MOUNT CONTROLL FOR MY 15' SPORT. I WOULD MOUNT IT THROUGH THE 1" SAPELE CONSOLE. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS, ARE THERE ANY ISSUES I SHOULD BE AWARE OF. I HAVE NOT DECIDED ON WHAT BRAND OR STROKE OF ENGINE I AM GOING TO GO BACK WITH. ANY THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I can't add much. Looks like the Morse S takes 33C-type cables. If you go with a Merc you might have issues with compatibility. Or you might just need to add adaptors to the motor ends of the cables.

I would think that the biggest issue you will encounter is the amount of flex and bend necessary to take the cables from the low console up to the side of the boat and back.
