I HAVE COMPLETELY GUTTED MY 15' SPORT AND FORGOT TO MEASURE WHAT I NEEDED FOR A STEERING CABLE LENGTH. IT HAD A 10' CABLE, AND THAT WAS TO SHORT. I AM LOOKING AT GOING BACK WITH THE TELEFLEX SS-137 SAFE-T QUICK-CONNECT STEERING SYSTEM, BUT I CANNOT DETERMINE WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER LENGTH, THE 11' OR THE 12'. ANY COMMENTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

The 11' is the correct size... the 12' leaves too big a Loop in the back, and the 10' won't make the bend.

11' is the correct length. My 15' Sport has the "No Feedback" steering also which I really like. Since you are restoring yours how about taking some pictures of your progress? I would love to see it and I am sure others would too. Best of Luck.

I just purchased one about a month ago... The length is 11' but you need to see what kind of steering helm you have to get the correct cable. I called teleflex direct and someone called me back the same day with a lot of advise and help. It was a really easy fix with the new quick connect system. Took me about 1/2- 45 minutes to do the whole job myself. I paid $118.00 w/ shipping. Good luck and have a great day.

check my personal page for pics of how the 11' cable will fit. I believe the original was 10.5' but they don't seem to make that size anymore.
