Just re-powered my dauntless 15 from a yamaha 50 to a evinrude e-tec 60, not only does the engine run beautiful, it's quieter, cleaner, and uses less gas than the yamaha 50 and I am getting about 5-7 more mph out of the new motor. People taunted me about putting the new motor on my "little" boat, but once you have one of these babies you just don't want to let them go, my family has gone through many boats in our boating career and by far this boat gets the most use and gives the most enjoyment.
If anyone is considering a Re-power, go with the e-tec, they are as minimal maintenance as the boat itself, making them a great pairing.

Personal Page looks good.
That looks like an E-Tec 75 hp on the back instead of the 60 you mention above.

You won't regret getting that ETEC and the more you learn about it the more you'll like it. You find that It burns almost no oil
