Smiley faces are gone.

I am also working on the [img] button as too many people are using outside photo links which we are not interested in having here.

Hold your mouse over the img button below. A pop up window explains a few things.

TechTeach,

Yes it is. That's why we have 5 sections for members to submit their photos too not counting the attachment feature which should be used sparingly just to get the point across.

We have absolutely no use for photobucket or imageshack photos on this site.
They might be here one day and gone the next.

Photos uploaded to WhalerCentral will be here forever and have more use to everyone in the future.

If someone has a photobucket or imageshack album, then put one link to that album so when people click on that link they will be taken to that album. That is of course if it is still there as many times they seem to disappear.

Please, no photobucket, imageshack, or other outside photo images posted in forums using in line images or [img].
Please read the "Code of Conduct" everyone agreed to when signing up for WhalerCentral.

For images, read the Images paragraph.

Here is just one of many examples of why we DO NOT want any outside photo hosting services or photos shown in our forum section or anywhere else for that matter.
http://www.whalercentral.com/forum/vi...post_15779

Many photo hosting services have already quit the business of providing FREE photo hosting.
Yahoo, AOL, etc. have closed their doors.
We had to remove many dead links because of this. Just another reason why we do not want outside photos.

Thanks for everyone's co-operation.

OK, so let me ask you this. I have and have owned many different brands of boat. I have a lot of experience with all aspects of boat repair, maintenance, design and operation . I also have a large photobucket account with photo documentation of many of the projects that I have posted on numerous boat websites. If a member of your forum asks a question. as was the case in the armstrong bracket question, should I refrain from answering the question with a picture because it is not of a whaler? Would you want me to attach a non-whaler picture??

A PM to me would have been sufficient instead of trying to limit the capabilities of your membership or passively deleting my photos with no explanation. I have been here for about a week, I didn't read the code of conduct, shame on me, but most websites encourage pictures. This is the first that I have encountered that makes posting pictures a harder process. Just my opinion.

Admins and Moderators are instructed to remove improper photos and posts.
They are also instructed that No explanations are necessary.

A link to one photo or your entire album is OK. Just no inline images from outside sources.

I think we have explained enough here about the photos.
We don't want photobucket, imageshack, etc. photos... Period...
Not too hard to understand...
