Hey guys. I want to name our 13' BW the "Skylar Marie" after my youngest child and only daughter. Any suggestions on where to put the name? I was kind of thinking about placing the name on the starboard part of the transom.

I was also thinking about doing it like MattGeiger did with "Yonah" with my city and state under the boats name.

What do you guys think? Any ideas?

I'm traditionalist and belie that names belong onthe transom although some ships had them on the bow. ithink on a 13 the name on the port transom and port of call on the starboard transom is a good look.

I hade one named;

[ Hydrotherapy ] and one named [ Sea Squirt ] and [ LickaDeeSplit ]

A lot of commercial boats are named after there wife's and or children.

I think names on outboard boats look best on the sides, Whalersal, I like your name "Thumper". It fits for a 13 footer. I had a boat named Thumper many years ago. I see you are into small boats as I am, but I think my house is a little bigger than yours. LOL ;)

I've seen it on the sides and on the stern and both look good. Put it where you think it looks the best! :)

When a name finally hits me, I believe I'll put it on the transom. I like the idea of the name on one side and home on the other, it would help balance the overall picture of the transom.

I think that the outboard's get in the way on the stern for names, I saw a boat with a crisp Red 6" stripe down the sides and the name "RED ALERT" in confused "Jumbled" Letter's right before the stern, thought it looked "COOL"

Hey Guts
I also have a whaler named Hydrotherapy but both my wife and I are Physical Therapists. what is the origin of yours? Just that it is so therapeutic on the water?

I guess 'Hydrotherapy' is a popular name! I had a boat named that, described as 'water treatment for the insane'.

Yep, she did one for the sides of our boat that I'll be putting on soon. She was great to work with and will design exactly what you want.
